ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

I went with neuspeed sport springs 1 3/4 front 1 1/2 rear.I mounted them on tokico illumina struts they are adustable with a small screw driver, I went with this option because is was i knew from past experiance and i wanted a ride height that was not to low so i did not drag every where. You will get may anwser on this. and it really breaks down to best spring rate, damping, sag, and customer loyalty.I hope that my experiances can help you.

think about how low you want your car to be. if you want a 2" in drop or lower then go with someone like Skunk2 or Dropzone. if your looking for something like a 1.5" drop then go with Tien or Eibach. i think Neuspeed sport or race springs give you anywhere between a 1.5-2.25" drop depending on the type of struts you use.

someone correct me if im wrong.

i have Dropzone lowering springs and they gave me a 2.25" drop in the front and a 2" in the back. rides smooth. just dont go on ebay and get any coilovers that arent name brand.

edit: i got mine from a company call gripmotorsports.com and the dropzone lowering springs i got from them cost me $144 shipped.

I am on Tein S-Tech Springs and stock struts. Ride is great for a lowered car.. It is a very mild drop. I think its 1.7" front and 2.0" rear.. Something like that.. It is enough that I can feel the difference and see it but I have not lost any ride quality.. Still smooth.. Plenty of before and after pics on my members ride thread (LINK IN MY SIG).. S-Tech's usually go between $150 and $200 shipped on ebay.. Later

                              what is inexpensive to you?

30 bux is inexpensive to me...and that wont buy you a quality spring....If you want inexpensive and quality your best bet would be check out the classified forums...I realize you cant post there but maybe you can pm someone who has some springs youd like to buy.

Springs are a personal preference as you will find if you search for the many many threads that have been made on springs...I personally am partial to the neuspeed springs (I have races) but you wouldnt go wrong with h&r, eibach, tein...something along those lines.

If you are lowering a fair amount also keep in mind your stock struts are not meant to handle a big drop...So you may want to include strut replacement in your decision making process also.
