ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Yellowhousing

ok, so i would want to yellowhouse my 1pcs, but i have a question, which makes me not want to do it.

The point of yellowhouseing is to emit yellow light, which our eyes see changes quicker bc we are sensitive to it/it looks better

But wouldnt making the reflective part yellow cut out most of the reflecting? the whole point of the silver shiny housing is to reflect all the light onto the road, so making it yellow would cut out a good, lets say, 70% of the reflection. So that leaves us with 30% of our original amount of light, but in yellow.

Wouldnt it just be more efficient to put in Yellow bulbs?

Or do people do it for the looks and dont give a shit bc you rarley use to highs anyway?

yeah, but someone correct me if im wrong but thats why you:

    A. Use paint that is meant for glass, so it allows light to shine/reflect off it

    B. I dont think you paint the reflectors. Even for the yellow-ing....

it might take away the reflective properties slightly, but there will be plenty of light.

or just tint your highbeams and your corner lights......dont tint the lowbeams yellow and you may as well black house the entire headlight before you yellow tint.

Yes, to yellow house, you use stained glass paint and paint the reflector.

and also yes to the light output question. by painting them yellow, you cut out the red orange green blue indigo and violet from the color spectrum, thus reducing the light output, but you do the same with yellow bulbs, so either way, it technically will not be the same output, but as far as your eye can tell, there wont be too too much of a difference, and if you get 4300k hid's, it would be even better.

this is why the blue bulbs are so crappy, it doesn't actually help anything, it just makes the light blue....

Hrmmm If you black house your lights, painting ecerything but the back reflector, will it dim your lights ALOT? or just a little, i have the yellow bulbs right now, looks awesome but the out put isnt that great, but looks awesome. i heard when you yellow house your lights, it doesnt really become as yellow as the bulbs though.

the black housing just makes the light more oriented in one spot instead of a full reflection.. somewhat like projectors but not as drastic.

you should blackhouse the headlights and then yellowhouse only the highbeams, that way you can turn them on whenever you want. plus i think it looks a lot better imo
