ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

I hope they're real! There are knockoff Volks everywhere... some made by decent companies. Volk decals are hard to come by, but I'm sure they, too, are duplicated without permission...

Regardless, $600 for a nice clean set of wheels, even if they aren't real, isn't that bad!

My friend had 40 profile tires on 16s... WAY too small! You need a larger sidewall for that. 205 would be a good width. My 17s are 7.5" wide, and I think I have 215s on them now. Too wide and you rub. The tire also rolls a bit. 205 should be good.

These wheels are real.... Hahaha my guy in japan knows what he's doing. As for tires, I'm thinking 195/45/16's. My friend has these on his advans and they look great!

Why are you bidding on them if your buddy is selling them?

Like deev said, 40 series tires are going to have a really small sidewall. The steering response might be better but if you hit a pot hole or curb, your going to tear your rims up quick..

I had a 45 series on my old 16x7.5's. I had those tires for a month, then I sold them.. I hated the things, the traction was good and the steering response was great but on the shitty roads around here I didn't stand a chance with pot holes unless I drove 20 MPH everywhere.. I upgraded to a nice 50 series and it made a little difference but the wheels were already pretty rough around the edges by then so they were sold for a 50% loss after only 6 months...

I wouldn't recommend skimping on tire size.. Get something with a thick sidewall or your going to regret it IMO.. Later

a 40 sidewall would also look like absolute crap. I wish I had a pic of my buddy's car. Bone stock CD5 with 16" Enkei RS6 and 40 series tires... If you saw a picture, you'd swear I photoshopped some Civic wheels on it. It looked downright goofy. Those wheels are now in my basement with lots of tread left on the tires... because he bent the inside lip of one rim so bad that it won't hold air.

I've decided to go with a 195/45 tire. I can't wait until these wheels come in the mail. Anybody have recommendations on a website for buying tires?
