ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    so i have some 17s

i have a 92 ex. i went to a shop to get some tires, and he told me they arnt going to fit. I know people have done biger. There are these metal bars or what not in the wheel wells. The bend and go to the underside of the car.

what are the bars for? and what do i have to do to get my wheels on?

also what tire size would be good. The guy told me 205 40 17s where too small.

The perfect size would most likely be a 215/40-17 tire... This is asuming that your wheels have the right offset.

The bars should be the upper control arms, since the accord has 4 wheel independant suspention
      wat?

ok, but what about the control arms. I mean your rims are all the way up there. How do they fit?

They fit with NO modifications. The Upper control arms will not hit the tire at all...

            I'm running 17's with a 42 offset and 205/50-17s lowered 1.5" w/o any rubbing. You'll be fine w/ 17s, the UCAs clear the tire.

If the offset is right, the 17s will fit just fine. I've been told a 45 sidewall tire will rub, but many people run it. I personally have a set of 17s (42 offset) that fit with no issues using a 40 sidewall.

I used to run 17x7.5 with a 45 sidewall. I used to rub on the inside. The camber wear was killing me too and I had kits up front. The car is lowered however.

                        ...adjust accordingly

You shouldn't have any problems w/ 17's. I currently have 205/40/17 tires and they are fine.

I had a buddy that had 20's on his cb w/ airbags but he could ride at stock height without hitting the control arms.
