ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

what struts (GR-2's, AGX's...) and im not 100% positive but i'm pretty sure KYB doesnt make coilovers.

GR-2's i've seen anywhere from $55.00 to $80 new and AGX's around $120 new for our app.

It's just a set of KYB AGX's w/yellow springs. ( neuspeed springs maybe?) KYB does not make coilovers. They make shocks/struts, strut mounts and boots.

I'd probably start off at $250 and see where he goes from there.

no, they're coilovers, you can tell from the threaded perches. I would say Arospeed's, but i don't think Arospeed has red perches. Ask the guy who's selling them, then tell us so we can verify. Hopefully they're not some cheap ebay crap coilovers, but if someone buy's AGX's chances are they didnt cheapen out on the coilovers.

                      Chances are, they're cheapie coilovers.

AGXs are also not made to be lowered. Anything over 1.5" voids the warranty, and I know for a fact that they can blow out when lower... I've blown one myself.

if I'm not mistaken those are koni coilovers. I might be wrong though

BTW I agree with everyone else give him 250.

No, konis are totally different, and I don't believe they make an application for our cars. Those are definitely KYB AGXs, without a doubt. I've installed a few sets of them in various cars.

Those coilover sleeves are most likely a cheapie brand. There are only a few quality companies that make things like that, and most of them use red springs. Coilover sleeves are a pretty bad idea anyway, IMO. Springs and struts, or full coilovers. I don't like the in-between option.

Also, seeing as KYB AGXs aren't made to be lowerd, and this guy has adjustible coilover sleeves on them, he may have been dropped LOW... Be very careful to inspect them to make sure they aren't already blown.

True, you don't really know if they are still in good or not, I mean 3 month doesn't sound too bad but it all depends on he drives... ie. when I got my cb7 the ride was smooth, less than a year later I feel that I'm driving in a water bed so my my ivice buy new shock not use u might spending more that what you will buying a new set. thats just me
