ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Tail light rules

I wanted to know if i could paint over parts of my tail lights so that when i push the brakes or reverse you see the light in the shape of a star. kind of like a light stencil. Would i get pulled over or something for that?

It probably depends on how much it alters the function of the light. There are those covers for Dodge trucks that have the ram-head pattern on them, and those 3rd brake light things that say "Accord" or whatever car you want... they're popular.

So, I would say there IS possibility, but judging by those popular things, it may not be too bad.

it kind of depends on where you live and, though i hate to say it, the cop who decides to pull you over. Around here the Dodge guys with the ram-head tailights don't have a problem, but something like that on an import will get you pulled quick. You might not get in trouble for it, but its a reason to stop you and throw modified exhaust and suspension in the mix. (while lifted 4x4's get away free, but i digress) Check your local laws regarding tailights.

If you decide to do it, maybe look at getting a vinyl cut in the pattern you want. That way if there is a problem you can just remove the overlay

I don't know if it's the same elsewhere, but lifted trucks around here need paperwork... they can get in trouble without it. "lift papers"

And the vinyl overlay is a good idea... I'm sure lowfrostcb7 would be more than happy to help you out with that! He's reasonable with his pricing as well.

around here i think they need paperwork also, but the cops arent profiling the lifted ones, know what i mean?

what if u flipped it? like if u were to paint every thing but a star in the middle of the light. instead just paint the star and leave every thing around it unpainted. that way most of the tail light is not covered or painted
