ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

ill be the first to tell you this is in the wrong area. were you going for a lowered look or good handling? If you were going for lowered look, you should have gotten adjustable coil-overs, or air ride. The good thing about the stock look is the whole sleeper thing.

pretty sure this is the correct area.... where else would a beginner post suspension besides maybe techinical??

anyway it may not be that much of a drop but you need to wait a few weeks for the springs to settle and then judge from there

in all honesty i would have put this in the technical sub-forum, but it doesnt really matter. As said wait for the springs to settle...it could take upto a month...to see the final drop. However, you should have checked the drop rate on the springs, before installing. Since you already have the new struts, i would probably just switch out the springs for neuspeed race, which will lower your car much more

I figured it wouldnt be much of a drop. As long as it handle better and still fit 17-18 what does it matter.

              X2...

put some 16" rims on with a decently low offset and the wheel gap will reduce a lot....the stock rims have a very high offset...which keeps the wheels/tires deep in the fenders....move the wheels/tires out and u'll be fine.

try 16X7.5 with offsets of around +40mm u should be good

for example, my wheel/tire combo keeps about two finder gap, the front gap is much lower than the picture...its just on a downhill on the pic.

alright i guess it just looks a lot higher because my car was slammed on ebay coilovers but then my stock struts gave out in no time so i bought this setup and it pretty much looks stock but i am glad to hear that it will settle and drop more with time and also is is pretty common for the new setup to squeak at first cuz it is, i was just guessing it was just settling and getting broken in. and i bought the 17 enkies for 150 bucks in very god condition thats the only reason i got such big rims cuz it was a good deal, thanks 4 your guys help

Honestly....even though it'll settle...it wouldn't be that low...and it really won't look noticeable even though if it settles...but it's up to you though.....cause i had a set of progrise springs and i didn't like it...i wait for nearly 2 months and it never settled...then i tried skunkwors springs...it was allright....but yeah....just telling you what i went thru..

Is this the kit that you purchased and installed?

Those springs lower the car a little more than an inch.

How does the kit compare to stock suspension handling and ride wise?

Sounds good. I am considering getting the same kit.

How much of a drop are you looking for? As suggested earlier, the Neuspeed Race springs will give you a 2"+ drop.

The Tokico HP struts should be able to handle that, but because of the more agressive spring rates, using a better strut like the Tokico Illuminas or Koni Yellows will have its benefits. The ride will feel better, as will the handling. Not to mention, you will have some adjustability.
