ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    need opinions on 1995 prelude

I have just found a 1995 honda Prelude for sale. It has 243,000 on it and it is a 5 speed manual. Lady selling it say's it has no problems other then the driver side window does not go down. she wants $2,200 for this car. No wrecks with this car and she is the third owner... Anyone have any opinions on the Quality of the this year prelude? I think the engine is very similar if not the same 2.2 that my 1990 honda accord has. what do you guys think?

Drivers window will most likely be the window motor or switch. If the motor is a f22 2.2 sohc with that many miles, there are not too many possibilities for modification. Boost is out of the question with that many miles. I would try to get the price a little lower because of the miles, and a swap either h23 h22 or low mileage f22 will need to be done before any modifications can be done. I would say $1800 would be a good price.

      hello,

are you thinking that the 5 speed tranny and engine don't have much left in them because of the mile's?

            hey AccordWarrior,

thanks for the info, I believe that it is a S model which means it is the same engine as my 1990 accord.

yep probably is for that price. at 235k its not dead, just not in good enough condition to take some power adders like turbo or nitrous. for $1800 buy it up and swap in an h23 with junkyard turbo setup or just get an h22 i/h/e and some cams and call it quits. If the body is in good shape you could have a very quick car with good looks for under $4000
