Paint Poll Thread

For the past couple of weeks now I have been debating what color I should paint my car. I have a 91 Honda Accord Ex Coupe which is currently a ugly ass black right now. I currently have equiped: red/clears tail lights, clear parking & corners and are lookin into clear CB7 sidemarkers. The two colors that I am deciding upon are A basic BLACK or CHARCOAL GREY METALLIC. Am still looking for a replacement passenger door, so Iam not in a hurry of painting it, so in the meantime why not do a poll? The rims that I plan on going with are a knockoff of the "Time Attack" Volk Racing Ce28's. Iam actually going to custom paint the G-Racing 17' "Seki" rims so they will look similar to the "Time Attacks"and will be much cheaper than actual Volks . I was leaning towards black just because they will match the rims.

both look great as is...but I'm feeling the red stripe around the outside edge.

I like those second rims... I dream of gold volks but perhaps those painted would do the trick. Good thinking.

Volks ftw if you can afford them. They have that red line on the lip cuz those black ones are a special edition volk is producing, Limited production ftw.

Why not paint it JDM white? Kinda like CPMike's

And as for the rims, i think the volks look better and should be worth the extra cost

Iam glad to hear ur opinions about those rims but really I was asking what color I should paint my car and what color would be best to match the paint scheme of the rims.

1.For the Color of the car:Charcoal Grey or Black?

It would be nice to have those volks but they dont make 4X114.3 limited edition "time attack" volks so a 5 lug nut swap would b needed, Making it a higher price, and paying 4+G's for these volks without tires is crazy. I rather pay 799 w/ tires for the G-racing just bcuz i dont got a job right now but deez volks arent out of the question and probably will be on in the far far far future. I love track racing "Time attacks" so the best will be needed. Deez funkin volks are light as hell too

Graphite Pearl from 7th gen accords and last gen civics. Best grey i've ever seen, and looks good with black.

FYI- i personally would normally tell you to go with black because your car is black stock and that way you dont have to worry about painting door jambs, under hood and under trunk. You could even do like a Dark Cherry that was on 6th gen accords and get away with it. But i love the new Graphite Pearl. Just, if you do it, please paint everything...

I was wonderin 2 about the chrome window trim.... i was thinkin about painting them a glossy black if i actually went w/ black for the car...what u guys think?

I will probably paint the rear spoiler & side skirts glossy black to and plan to buy the Carbon fiber front mugen spoiler too. just wanted to throw that idea in to.

those time attacks are hott...just met an s2k guy with them and he waited for nearly a year to get em....

i dig black w red lip, but i hope it doesnt get played out in the near future

On the wheels, lighter is better. Is there big difference between the volk and g-racing?
