ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.
2 of 2 < >

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

im so lost with ur "someone asking about clear corners" and jdm people coming in with their "jdm amber corners"?? or saying to get red/clears cuz altezzas are ***? basically shows ur lack of knowledge about "jdm enthusiasts". altezzas never made the "jdm" scene cuz they are not "oem option" parts for hondas......so i dunno where ur were going with that.

and if you DID put a CB bumper pole on ur bodykit for ur accord, NO, not everyone would love ur car 10x more!!

yes i know the roads go both ways, and people that like body kits get flamed and what not. but you ranting on about crappy jdm parts, and jdm idiots, and blah blah, dont think that someone isnt gonna come along and NOT get offended by it.

that is all from me on this subject. feel free to carry on.
hey no offense man, just a lively discussion
the only thing is, im young, so i probably get the scene a little more than your e granparents. i know its cool how other countries have stuff we dont, i get that. Japanese try to emulate americans all the time with fashion. I just think its crazy. in Japan they pay upwards of $500 for Jordans, $200 for a pair of genuine Levis, etc..... I kinda look at the JDM scene here the same way.
And i mentioned the altezzas cuz its the same as putting a GSquare grille or Gsquare rims on your cb7. NOT a factory option, but mad JDM cuz it originated over there. Altezzas originated over there too, i was drawing an admittedly poor connection.
I just dont like how JDM enthusiasts can come into a guys thread about projectors, or bodykits, or some other assumingly ricer part for a cb7 and mention how it looks tacky and to go jdm with it, and no one ever says anything. I really kind of wanted to see what happened if i said something about the jdm scene, since no one ever says anything.

Actually there's been a "USDM" phase in japan for a longass time

For instance, it's cool to have a Honda Integra over there with "acura" badges. If you look in japanese car magazines, Acura badges for them is up the ass in price like jdm "honda" badges would be for us. If you were japanese, would you pay almost around $40-$60 for just a Acura logo badge? For Nipple equipped CB7 usdm headlights to throw on your jdm cb, i've seen some on various japanese websites go for stupid $300ish used?!?
(sound familiar?) Before when CB7 one pieces weren't as common on e-bay, i've seen some go close to 300 or higher....

even the "ugly" Acura Vigor 2 piece lamps we have....some japanese would trade their sexier blackhoused ones for 2 pieces.... or if they are DC2 Integra enthusiasts they might even import "cat eye" headlights to replace their one piece lamps! My first trip to japan I saw a young japanese guy all "usdm'ed" out XSi and i was like WTF? It's exactly the opposite over there.

Try finding a real CB accord enthusiast over there, i'm pretty sure he would be happy to swap parts.

Seriously... If done right, they can make the car look nicer. Its just the purist people that don't like them. It sets the car apart, dang.

Buying the car isn't the problem. Getting it into the US is where the trouble begins.

                      how do you define "jdm"?
i live in taiwan and one of my friends has a cb7 which was made in japan.
most parts are the same with usdm ones but the plate on the chassis
does say that it's made in japan.
should this be called a jdm? or usdm? maybe twdm~

TWDM for sure If it shares all parts with the USDM Accords, then it's pretty much the same... so TWDM and USDM are the same We have Japanese manufactured cars here as well.

Are there any "JDM" options availible on cars in Taiwan? Bumper poles, rear fog, intersection lights, etc?

most of the cb7s in taiwan were made locally.
about 30% or so were imported from the us and my friends car
is the only one i know which was made in japan, and it's lhd.

no jdm options are availible here but i think it's easier to get jdm parts
                          in taiwan than the us.

Yeah, I'm sure... You guys are a lot closer to Japan than we are!

The LHD cb7 owners are fascinated with the RHD cars and everything that came on them. Pretty much anything sold in Japan, England, or Australia (Australian CB7s pretty much have the same stuff as JDM)

I grew up in Japan, you know they make fun of us trying to be JDM over here in the U.S.? people pay ungodly prices for stupid crap that doesnt make their car jdm, it makes it usdm with jdm parts tackily thrown on. These parts are rediculously cheap over there. I find it amusing the prices some of you jdm crazy people pay for oem stuff, just because it came from japan. I wish my dad and i were on good terms so i could have him send me parts and make a killing off all jdm suckers.

Hes right, Some of the parts we pay for over here aren't nearly worth what we pay for them. i mean I like JDM but I can make my car look Good without it. But Certain parts are a Plus I must admit.
