hey guys,this may seem like a silly question but im new to the jdm scece(just be glad i decided against a body kit and big rims). what all do i need to have a jdm appearance and where can i find it??? any replys are appreciated.

lol, im sorry im just so sick of the usdm scene and this JDM faze its in. I grew up in Japan, you know they make fun of us trying to be JDM over here in the U.S.? people pay ungodly prices for stupid crap that doesnt make their car jdm, it makes it usdm with jdm parts tackily thrown on. These parts are rediculously cheap over there. I find it amusing the prices some of you jdm crazy people pay for oem stuff, just because it came from japan. I wish my dad and i were on good terms so i could have him send me parts and make a killing off all jdm suckers.

why do we pay for oem parts? one- quality! two-fitment three- they are parts you cant get here in the states which just further sets ur car apart from the rest, or at least more unique.there are soo many other reasons for it, but dont feel the need to explain to you, who could care less about the scene. its an acquired taste, and you have to PAY to PLAY. people that make statments such as urs just dont understand....

i care about the scene IN JAPAN. there is no scene here. JDM is a fad in the US, but no one will ever be true jdm unless you have RHD and youre car was manufactured IN JAPAN. no matter what you put on there youre car will always be USDM. You can dress an american in all japanese clothing but hes still american. Import a Japanese RHD CB7 and then you can be jdm all you want and even i will agree its hott. THATS UNIQUE. JDM parts on a USDM car may have been unique once, but now its the norm.

learning how to drive a car in japan automatically makes you understand why people in the US want JDM parts?? ROFL. yeah um ok. whatever makes you sleep easier. my grandparents grew up in Japan, learned to drive there, owned cars there, but they dont understand the whole scene here stateside.
im so lost with ur "someone asking about clear corners" and jdm people coming in with their "jdm amber corners"?? or saying to get red/clears cuz altezzas are ***? basically shows ur lack of knowledge about "jdm enthusiasts". altezzas never made the "jdm" scene cuz they are not "oem option" parts for hondas......so i dunno where ur were going with that.
and if you DID put a CB bumper pole on ur bodykit for ur accord, NO, not everyone would love ur car 10x more!!
yes i know the roads go both ways, and people that like body kits get flamed and what not. but you ranting on about crappy jdm parts, and jdm idiots, and blah blah, dont think that someone isnt gonna come along and NOT get offended by it.

It's all relative to what the buyer is willing to pay... and what they think looks good. I think the bumper pole is cool, but there's no way in hell I would pay 200 bones for one!
I agree about a USDM car never being "JDM". Even if you change EVERYTHING, it's still a USDM car. Whatever.
I have JDM headlights on my car because I like the way they look (plus they have an HID projector retrofit ). I think JDM parts should be added for what they do, not for what they are. Of course, that's just me.
Someday I want to import a true JDM CB7 As the owner of this site, it's only proper!

Of course, if you like a bumper pole simply because you think it's cool... that's cool too! I wouldn't mind one. I wouldn't pay $200, but I'd probably trade for one if I found the right deal! I DO want some fogs though... someday... (maybe I'll import a front bumper with fogs and a pole! And intersection lights! They're badass.)
