ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    SOoooo lucky!

about 3 days ago, I was in one of the local u-pullit salvage yards looking for sockets to wire my sidemarkers. I was looking all over and saw an Accord with factory foglights installed, but one was busted and the other was rusty and had turned opaque from condensation. it didn't hit me until the next day when I was at the same junkyard looking for something else, to check and see if the car had the foglight switch, and/or the harness. turns out it did! so yesterday I grabbed the switch and today I got the full harness with both relays-everything! I really can't believe my luck... and I can't believe nobody else had grabbed it! it took like 30 minutes to get it out and cost me only $16. I'm so glad that I found this that I decided to post about it. I can't believe my luck...

    Holy crap nice find!

I think the housings might've been worth it even if they were rusted out. Either way, good find.

thanks... it was a great learning experience taking out the harness. when I re-install everything on my car soon, it'll be a simple matter of plug and play! there's just 2 small connectors that plug in above the fuses in the kick-panel (plus a ground wire), then 2 more connectors on the underside of the fusebox on the right hand fender (underhood) and then it plugs directly into the foglights themselves--> and one more ground... simple. no need to make holes in the car because there's one already there for this purpose. I'm debating on whether to take the looming off and see about making spare harnesses because the connectors seem to 'repeat' thoughout the car--I'd just need to find the right ones, and start making harnesses. also... I believe all cb7's come with the foglight relays attached beneath the dash... I'm not entirely sure, but I've seen these same relays on several cars at the junk yard and on my own car too... I'll have to check to be certain.

I've installed the harness and everything works perfectly. It's so nice having the switch in place instead of the blank cover. I didn't even have to buy bulbs as my foglights had them intact when I bought them. It took longer to put the harness in than take to take it out, but I'm very happy with how everything turned out. I'd just like my fogs to shine with more of an amber color-I guess I can try more tint spray.
