Alarm System

What kind of alarm system is good and if it comes with remote start is it good?
Would you guys recommend remote start?

unless u really need and will use the remote start often beside flexing for ur friends its just throwing money away. Id go with any DEI alarm, if you want a good solid system id go with the viper 671 2 way. But the key is the install, i installed a/an alarm in my boys 96 cd5 in the passanger kick panel, moved and extended the abs control box from the kick panel to the rear, ran all the wires under the carpet and pulled the fuse box out made all the connections behind the fuse box plus a fuel pump relay kil, its sick and has been tried but has not been stolen since.

ahh i see how hard is it to install the system? because i heard that circuit city has systems there and i also heard that they install it for you. do they have good systems at circuit city?

yeah circuit, best buy, hi-fi all sell good alarm just make sure u get a good installer with some skill and that takes pride in their work to do it, cause anyone can just print off a directtechs wiring guide and throw a/an alarm in,

If you dont have a good grasp on automotive electrical and don't know how to read a schematic...then you should let someone install it for you...yes circuit city does install everything they sell, but I don't know about labor charges...just call around...most stereo shops install alarms as well

I looked through the website and found no viper system, it looks like the only thing they have is python systems. check your local stereo shops, they generally have a better selection of alarm and remote start systems.

i dont know anything about the python or the hornet...someone else here might...I do know the viper systems and most are pretty good.

viper, hornet, wasp, python, clifford are all made by DEI, so anyone of those would be a good buy

DEI products FTW... I have the Viper 791XV with 2-way LCD paging on the Black 93, and I have the Python 871XP with 2-way LED paging on the Gray 92. Both have remote start, and everything... Cant ask for more.

ahh i see i see. Oh yeah i was wondering do all of your cb7's have power locks or is it the push down locks.
