ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Do you remember what year truck? Looks like a pretty nice fit, good work. How did you attach to two halves? I am planning on making a lip for my Prelude but I've never attempted anything like this so any direction is appreciated. I want to do it right the first time.

Looks nice. Are you going to leave the center section on the stocker alone or cut it out?

woah byz, thanks for the props.
haven't had much time to be at it past couple days, been busy partyin n stuff. i'll get more done with it tomorrow night.

for those who wish to know, it is the black bottom piece of a mazda pu i believe. first i layed it in place and chopped out what obviously had to with tin snips. then i cut out so of the guts of the lip that were interferein with it going flush around the edges.

next i used a drill and some regular half inch/ 3/4ish screws and started attaching it in the right position

b4 i put in each screw however, i heated up with a blow torch the small area the screw was goin into so that the platic became very soft, and once the screw went in with the drill, the head of the screw set nice and deep in the almost melted plastic so it wouldn't stick out.

then i was playin with the blow torch again and melted all the joining edges around the sides of the bumper and smoothed them out with a flat bar, so it woudn't take so much body filler(bondo) to make it look smooth. then i had a few pieces that i had to cut out earlier left over, so i put those in the middle of the bumper, on either side of the big opening, by the turn signals..did the same thing, just screwed em in place and melted the edges. after that i just started puttin on the body filler around all the seems and rounded out a few spots. then just keep sandin and filling.

my car is white so i will paint it white with the black bar thing going around it. the bumper was orgionally beige because its from a parts car.. i had a little white paint left in a can and gave it a quick spray to get the general idea.

i am going to fill the big hole in with that shiney custom grill mesh stuff to match the grille i have between the bumper.. h

heres an updated pic...soon finished, just a big more straightening out to do.

                          here it is, nearing completion

and heres a pic of the grille i made this passed weekend...it is a 92-93 style so i had alot of messin around to do with it, but i used bodyfiller on the edges and made it look like one piece. this was just with a quick pass of white paint, i will give it another coat and clear it, and as well the mesh will be aluminum, and whats behind the mesh will be flat black

and heres a pic of the two laid together

                          and another
