ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

            VIS and SEIBON

both high quality hoods w/ real clearcoats

you still have to take good care of them though cuz they will eventually fade

mothers cleaner wax would be a good purchase along with a cf hood

What are the legalities of cf hoods?
I checked out ViS and they said their hoods were for off road use only.

When I was thinking of a CF hood everyone that I talked to about it said that they prefered SEIBON. I know that Derek (de4ek) here in KC has a CF hood by SEIBON and It looks awesome. Later

And make sure you get the hood pins and keep them in at all times

yes that is a very good Idea, one of my friends has a 00 SI, I forget what kind of CF hood it was but he was flying down rt 21 and the latch ripped right out of the hood and it flipped up hit his windshield, ripped off the hinges and hit another car and cracked there windshield. Well we'll just say that sucked.

The hinge rips out off the hood if you dont have the pins? Thanks for that info. I had no idea. i was wondering why people with cf hoods always had pins. i wasnt sure if it was for looks or because they actually need it. ill be sure to purchase pins. I have so much i want for the car right now. I dont know what to save up for.

ive had a vis for awhile, so far so good. c/f hoods are perfectly legal, they say for offroad use only just to cover their ass, since shit like flying hoods does happen, they cant be sued.

Just checking because that looked a little odd.

So do you have to install the pins yourself? How does that work?
