ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Wheel size

I found some great wheel for 400$ with the tire (205/45r16 ), but i've check with tire size calculator and the tire would be 3.9% to fast. Everybody say not exced 3%.
Do you guy's check that ??

lol...3.9% fast so? lol as long as you like em get em. Either way a bigger rim combo is going to make your speedo read off either way.

i may be wrong...but isn't there a way to fix the spedo if you get bigger wheels/tires?

i'm about 95% sure it is...because ive known guy with big trucks saying "oh i gotta reset (or whatever) my spedo, it's off because of my wheels"

then a few weeks later, i see them and the spedo is back on track, with the correct speed.

Is the rim alone 22? If it is, its heavy for a 16.

45 series tires are waaaaaaaay too low profile for a 16" wheel. At the very least run a 50 series. I'm running a 45 series on a 17" wheel right now.

The tire are new and come on the wheel...Maybe i'll sell the tire and buy new one like 215or225/50r16
By the way, the wheel are TSW Trophy serie. Are they good (I live where the road are really not in good condition....) I don't want to broke them if I get them.

yea, i agree, 205/50/16 would be i deal. Im on 205/55/15 and its perfect stock height and size.

i also wore the wrong size on my camry, i changed them to a larger tire that is stocke equivelent, and now im happy

dont forget, you car will b lower and have more fender gap...jsut a word of caution as well.

205/45/16 is fine especially if you are lowered. but 22lbs is alot heavier than other performance wheels out there. the rota gt3 i want are about 16lbs each. i see so many people dish out money for rims and soon regret getting cheap heavy rims. just do your research and good luck.

how wide are the 16's? my enkei RF-1 16X7 are only 16lbs each, and my Motegi MR15's are 17X7, but with 15 spokes, 23 lbs each. and at 205, im guessin 6-6.5....is the rim design with HUGE or THICK spokes? ad $400 is only the initial cost, don't forget tuner lugs, and hubcentric rings, and centercaps if necessary, lol

and dont mean to rub it in, unless you absolutely LOVE those rims, i got my RF-1s for $180 with tires, and MR15s for $180, no tires, both in fair condition, but with how bad ny roads are...why have perfect? theyd b beat to shit in no time anyways, lol

and just to throw in the mix of good rims deals, i paid $140 for my 15" Prelude SI rims on the Accord with almost new hankook ventus...that was a great deal for OEM gems

Maybe a stupid question but what the difference between 16lbs and 22lbs wheel. Ok i know there 6lbs per wheel so 24lbs more in total, but will it affect something or the only thing is that make the car heavier ???

There a picture I found on internet of the wheel (the guy dosen't have a camera)

it takes less hp to spin a lighter wheel. so lighter the rotating mass = more hp to the wheels makes your car quicker. like say you put on some big heavy dubs it would kill your performance.

To the guys with RF-1's which lugs are ya'll using? My splinedrive tuner style lugs rub when I'm installing, with the socket on anyway. Just wondering so I don't tear up the other rims!
