carbon fiber trunk lid??

man i checked everywhere but i couldnt find a trunk lid only for the 92 accord.. i found the whole trunk but i dont want the whole trunk.. so if anyone knows were i can just buy the trunk lid that would be koo..

what do you mean you found "The whole trunk?" CF Trunks are Uber rare. You are never gonna find one unless someone really really really needs the $. Someone here was selling one like 2 weeks ago for $650 I think.

You added the word "Lid"...I would assume that one would know that I was refering to the lid. I dont think anyone would want a CF Trunk, unless you plan on running in the Grand Prix with your CB7

CF Hoods, eh, CF Trunk Lids...yikes! You crash a hood, its not that bad, you get rear ended, better hope that lids insured.

Needless to say, as these 2 fine gentlemen have been trying to say: Entire CF Trunks do not exist, only the lids. When you think about, the lid IS the trunk. Unless youre talking interior, rear bumper, those little filler pieces, and rear 1/4 panels. Otherwise, Cf Trunk=Cf Trunk Lid. And yes, they are VERY hard to come by. IF you do find one, its either going to be used, part of a group buy, very expensive or a rip off. Better not hope for the latter. Usually, unless you live near a company that will make you one for cheap, you have them specially made/ordered. Occassionally, you'll find a site that sells them, or on Ebay, but either way, they're probably going to cost in upwards of $5-or $600. So if you're mindset on buying one and you wanna dish out the dough, and feel confident enough to sport one--Go for it.

As for where to buy, apparently, according to Lams' Ebay link, VIS makes them. Try their site. And of course Ebay or some type or CF fabricating Co. Good luck though

You could cut/fab/bondo it(whatever)....I wouldnt recommend it. All or nothing. Take it or leave it.

i like that trunk. but i aint ready to pay 650 for it. but i am going to get a carbon fiber hood for my ride.
