ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

burgundy interior swap to black interior

what exactly do I need to swap from burgundy to all black? I know dashes are common. but as for everything else? im trying to find pheonix red interior but that’s always gonna be rare apparently. has anyone used acura interior ? seen it in a comment. if not do we simply spray interior pieces? obviously the correct way, but does anyone has any reference pictures?

Finding a Phoenix Red DX with an intact interior in 2022 would be a windfall. You’re probably looking at a dash swap and then painting the rest of the parts.

This is a part that was painted. You have to prep the hard plastic parts by sanding them and the degreasing them. Using a black primer and then low gloss black paint typically yields a durable finish. For the soft wrapped parts like the doors, I do not have a good recommendation.

nice yeah that’s what I was looking at since most cars in my area are tan or red interior, saw a black Interior at a junkyard but it looks like it landed back in april so that’s probably all gone. what grits did you use for the sand paper? came out pretty clean .

There's auto upholstery shops that specialize in dyeing leather, vinyl and plastic. Not sure about fabric. Here in AZ there's an outfit I've used for decades called "ARC - Appearance Reconditioning Company of AZ"

I'm not sure if they're a franchise but if you search using the name a number of businesses popup using the same name with the state appended at the end. Otherwise if your serious about doing it and still can't find someone try asking at a dealer who they use. Dealers typically have one or two shops they send tradeins to for reconditioning before resale...

        Hope this helps

sounds good will do , just got a dash from a junkyard so at least thats a start, was told that upholstery could be the better option instead of sourcing but im afraid the whole swap if I payed to dye would be 1000$+

For the painted parts 600-800 is probably the ideal range. 800 will provide good "tooth" for paint adhesion and won't leave a visible texture once the parts are painted, 600 can leave texture if you use it too aggressively,
