ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    fog lights alone?

    hey guys.
well basicly i want to know if i can have the oe fogs on by themselfs? i already know that if i turn the highbeam they will turn off. .

reason for asking is because i just got the fogs and i dont have them installed yet and im realy curious to find out.
by the way i got the fogs from the dealer. list price is 221 and with the shop discound came out to be 188 which is not bad all this after i was told that they would be 255 from some guy on the phone.

Are these 90-91 fogs or 92-93 fogs?

You can have them on by themselves, check the foglight install DIY or search for it.

Would this mess up the highbeam funtion? I might be intersted in doing that also if it does not mess up the automatic cut-off when the highbeam is on.

well after hooking up the lights with the relays and all i found out that i couldnt. you have to have your lowbeams on to have the fogs. im gonna leave it like that i just though it would look kool to use the fogs only from time to time.

here are some pics. me and my cuzzin did it infront of a park. no big tools needed.

i moved the switches to how i wanted them.

Oh so thats what the blank space is for not bad. I wired mine and mysteriously 2.2azuls fogs to that only the foglights come on seperately from all the lights that way she can get away whenever she wants to without being tailgated.

My switches are in the same locations

From what I've read, unless you hack up the stock wiring, you can't get your fogs to be always on using the stock wiring.

I'm impressed you managed to get a hyperwhite color out of the fogs. I was never lucky enough to get that to work, but then again I had a used set, so I'm sure the yellowing over time caused that.

yea i have "blue" bulbs a all around even in the reverse so i didnt want that yellow look.

any body tried puttin hids on their fogs? i got the idea since i see more and more suvs with fogs with hids. i think it would look sick to have hids in the headlights and fogs.
