ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

        my lph400 Iwata gun.

this is one of my latest side projects, i haven't taken the finished photos yet, it was what he wanted, viper blue

you'll see my uv primer light in this photo

in this photo you will see my shop area and how i paint every piece off the car and do it right on everything we do,, in the background you can see some of our wrecks and a few motorcycles i have done and am about to do.

this photo is showing my work before i ever wetsand and buff it.. these pictures have not been edited in any form.

now in this photo i had already wetsanded and buffed the hood as you can tell from the reflection.

and this is a photo of the healights out and i was color matching the inside to match the car and then black eyebrows painted to match the hood. at this point the car had gotten dust all over it again, and nothing was buffed in this photo.

i went back and wetsanded and buffed the entire car,, the car only had 2 coats of ppg 2002 high solid clear on it.

this truck was a poject that i chose not to buff because he wasn't paying enough for the job. but in this photo i skined the tailgate with this and welded it up and slicked it out before i painted it..

apparently i don't have photos taken of my satajet 2000 or my devilibis plus... i will get those,, or of my satajet primer gun with 1.3 tip... don't believe what you here from others.. you do want to break the primer up verry fine.

great info thanks for taking the time to post. but i was just wondering what else effects the price of buying the paint itself other than the amount that you are buying?

I paint cars daily and as of date i have painted over 30,000 cars
I will have to call bs on this one

21 work days in a month
            252 work days a year
If you average one car a day it would take you 119 years to paint that many cars

We will assume you started painting professionally at 18 years old.. So you have been doing this for six years
6 years equals 1512 work days
So you would need to average 19 cars a day
Say you work 10 hour days
So that would be a car completely painted every 31 minutes if you work every second of that time

you can call bs man,, and honestly if i were in your shoes, i would to.. it does sound obserd, but i have every single RO invoice from when i first started, and it's rediculous,,, no, i didn't go through and count as that would take forever,, just an educated guess.
our big brother shop about an hour from where i live, is where i started.. and we put out over 150 cars a week. we have 5 paint booths and i worked their for 3 years. they also empolyed 16 body men and 10 machanics 2 painters and alot of hourly helpers. i jumped from booth to booth to booth as the helpers got the cars taped up and rolled in the booths,, maybe my math is off, as i am horrible at. But i know what's right and wrong when your in a body shop working on cars.

There is no way I could have counted how many cars, bikes, mailboxes, motorcycles, golfcarts, compute r cases, cell phones and much more. Ive been painting for 17 years and for the record in one day, Ive painted 4 cars and 5 golfcarts...with 1 bake booth and that was a rough day..
