ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

you should ask him maybe to see some of the other cars he's painted....
tell him what you want....what you expect from him.
Be straight up.
Yes get the rust spots fixed first.
Those you can attempt yourself if not when you decide to paint it the shop can do it.
You need to sand down, remove and treat the rust spot. Then prime, paint, and clear coat the area and try and match as close as possible.

Someone verify everything that i have here is correct since I will be painting my car in about a month
1 Gallon Frost White Ppg Paint
1 Gallon Clear Coat
All the additives you need to make the shit work (im not exactly sure for these :confused)
Flex Additive (is this a must or can i do without?)
As you can tell I need some help...but since this is the beginner forum I figure this is the best place haha.
Im not gonna be the one actually painting the car...Its gonna be my sisters boyfriend who actually has experience....I just really want a nice paint job and I want to do it right...I dont really care about the cost of all the stuff.
I tried to look at maroonaccord2.2s picture of all the stuff he used for his brothers front bumper but it just made me confused lol...
I have a ppg dealer right beside my house so if you can tell me all the stuff that I need from ppg that would make my life lovly...Im sorry that I am trying to search...but Im lost....
thanks guys

-Also, The activator for the clear coat.
(you can reference PPG's webiste for specifics)
You could probably get away without the flex additive, but if you used it anywhere it'd just be on the eurothane bumper covers or anything flexible that might move.....it's only added to the clear coat. If it were me, I'd use it on the bumper covers.....mouldings....etc.1992 Accord LX - SOLD

Anyone ever tried to remove and keep off the door molding (i guess is what's called) . I removed it for an upcoming paint job and would like to leave it off if possible and fill that in using something else. Any suggestions??
p.s. I'm not going to fill it w/ body filler or anything stupid like that. I was thinking of using some welding metal strips down the side and grinding them to get that smooth, slick look. Thanks.

i know a good paint job starts with good prep work, but my cb7 is almost at 400k (i know, but i love my baby!) and the paint LOOKS good but is really bad (lots of buffing). its cracked all over the place and is thin in some spots from all that buffing. do i need to strip all the paint first?

What prep work is required in painting the black trim on our CB7s? This would include the following:
1) rubber trim along the doors
2) black trim along the middle of the front and rear bumpers
3) lower side skirts and lower bumper mouldings?
All three areas sport different materials. I'm curious to know what folks are doing with these three areas when color matching to the car?
