ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Wheel size suggestions?

Right now i have a 100% stock 92' and was wondering what size wheels & tires would fit best and look right. Im thinking 16inch wheels...but then i dont know what size tire i should put on it...also quick other question. Easy cheap lowering setup? Just pokin my head out here, new to most of this, just need some suggestions of where to start with lowering and wheels.

Go to TireRack.com. Search for wheels for your specific car in whatever size you want. Take note of the sizes shown. That will show you both the proper wheel and tire size. Any variation from those specs won't fit properly.

I'm surprised Deeve didn't whip out the "don't go cheap on suspension" line.

I'll do it then, don't go cheap on suspension. Restore the rest of it, balljoints, bushings etc. then you can lower.

I like 17's. We can't make a subjective decision for you. You'll have to peruse the forums and see what style you like the best.

I decided to ignore the question that wasn't on topic... even if it was posed in the original post.

But yes, if you are going to lower your car, that is quite possibly the one thing you DO NOT want to go cheap on.

I'm a fan of 16's, although there isn't a ton of wheel and tire options. I'd like a 17" just to run the 215/45/17 Michelin Pilot Super Sports. Currently, I have 16x7's (45mm offset) with very worn out 205/50/16 Dunlop Direzza Z1 Star Specs that need replaced, they're pretty scary in the rain; huge grip when dry, and VERY noisy/rough. On the current wheels, they're about the widest I'd feel comfortable with. They're great when autocrossing though. I'm thinking either a Continental DW in the same size or the Dunlop Direzza ZII's, the latter are being phased out(already) for the ZII Star Spec's.

It really all depends on what you plan to do with the car, though.
