ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Trunk light on dash

So I bought a 91 lx 4 door from a friend and for some reason the trunk light on the dash stays on..even tho the trunk lid is closed. Has anybody seen this or a fix for it. I did a search and didnt come up with anything. Thank you.

Maybe the trunk pin is stuck open and/or not in the proper place.

thats probably because your missing the 2 black metal rods that spring it up/keep it up, look in the trunk where the speakers are

Check that the electrical harness is plugged into the switch. The switch is on the top of the latch assembly. Open the trunk (prop it up), then look through the opening just above the latch assembly. You should just be able to see a black connector with two wires coming out of it. If you see two metal blade contacts on the switch and no connector, start fishing for it in your trunk lid.

If you have added a spoiler to your trunk, the original rods will barely support it when open. I just did a coupe to sedan (with spoiler) trunk swap on a 92 LX, it barely stays open. I had a set of rods I thought came from a car with a spoiler, swapped one of them and it didn't seem to help (had the same paint color mark as the one I tool out). I thought about trying to put a third rod in to compensate, but the first one I swapped came loose and smacked my fingers so I'm a little gun shy.

Hmm I will check that out, also I wonder if I did the flush mount spoiler if it would do the same. I really dont like spoilers to be honest, but on a 4 door it looks better, I took the spoiler off my 95 gsr teg..

cars that came with spoilers had stiffer/thicker trunk springs.
