Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    Good clear coat fix that won't hurt the wallet to bad?

    Does anyone no of any if there is any way to fix clear coat? Mine is coming off of my driver side fender due to a pressure washer. If anyone knows a good method it would be much appreciated thanks.

    There is no way to fix it. You have to repaint.

      Can't you just get them to sand all of the clear coat off and then re-clear it?

        Who's "them"?

        Having a shop sand all the clear off, then apply a new coat... that'll cost more than simply taking it to a cheap paint shop (like Maaco) for a full respray. The cheap paint is a single stage paint.

            only way fix the clear problem you are having is re-spraying that fender, if you want an alternative cheap fix you can buy the material and paint your self.

            sand the whole fender down with 320 grit. napa auto parts sells decent automotive paint by the name of senior martin paints, from a pint up to a gallon just take them your color code # and they'll mix it up for you. You'll just have to thin it out 2:1 with thinner. For clear coat youll need spot panel, quick dry clear that they sell also with a hardener and the mix ratio is 4:1.

            You can try and spray it your self if you have a spray gun and compressor at home... or you can just go to any auto body tool store and buy a cheap 30$ HVLP gravity feed spray gun and it'll get the job done. if you need any help on how to go about it I can help as I am the lead painter and body guy at the shop I work at.
