ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Every set of Skunk2 springs I've ever seen has sagged, or caused odd noises (which went away after replacing them with H&R Race springs, same shocks).

Skunk2 does nothing with the Accord. They are not a suspension company, merely a tuning company that dabbles in all areas (primarily engine.) Their suspension products only draw customers because they are a known brand name.

Fair enough. I can see where you are coming from. It sounds like you have some personal experience with them as well. I currently have those springs on my car and have yet to witness any of those problems. However, I have only been running them for about 6 months. But I also replaced all of the bushings in the strut assembly and top hat. I will admit that i got mine for cheap-as-free, but I was aware of their specs before hand and they have not disappointed me.

That's the thing when it comes to cheaply manufactured suspension components... some may be fine, while others may be garbage. Poor manufacturing processes yield inconsistent results.
With a quality manufacturer, you know you're getting consistency. You know that the springs you buy are the same as the springs the last guy bought, and the same as the springs someone bought 5 years ago.

Yeah I hear you there. I did find their coilover sleeves particularly sketchy. They had the same exact spring rate for front and rear. If they are as shoddy of a company as you say they are, they probably just copied the spring rates for their lowering springs from h&r or some other company. If I was in the market for a similar spring setup today and I was buying new, it would be H&R race or neuspeed race hands down.

Their spring rates are so absurdly high, I can't imagine they even bothered to copy anything reputable. They're really VERY similar to cheap "ebay" sleeves.

Well I'm getting a set for about 100 bucks. So from what I'm reading they should ride better than my shitty eBay springs... The only reason I'm not buying the other springs is cause I'm really tight on money. And I'm getting them thru Pepboys. I'm an engine guy not a suspension guy so I don't know crap about springs and strut combos and I'm just trying to get a ride that is essentially no springs. Which is what it feels like now.

I have stock suspension but everyone I've talked to one here highly recommends Neuspeed and Eibach springs. I'm looking at Eibach sportline myself. Last I checked tirerack, they had the Eibach sportline for $185.

Check this thread for more info on suspension stuff.

Koni Yellows or Tokico Illuminas are all that will handle those Junk2 springs.

I used to run Sprint springs on my stock shocks. Great spring and gave a pretty big drop. I would recommend the Koni Yellows. Spring wise...Eibach, H/R, Neuspeed, or Tein. Those are the 4 I would recommend. The koni's also have adjustable perches so you have some height adjustability with it.

Yea I currently have the sprint extreme springs and the drop is amazing. I second the fact that you should use an adjustable shock with them. I had them on my stock struts and they were bad within the month.

Not a fan of skunk 2 suspension parts either... had some pro s coilovers on my 06 civic and the ride sucked and they didnt last long at all...

Koni yellows with eibach sportlines or H&r springs is the way im going with my cb7... koni yellows are 1 of the most popular quality aftermarket shocks out there
