ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

trunk swap. 1993 accord se coupe "cashmere silver metallic" oem spoiler

I'm new with this website and might have posted in wrong forum but I got a clean se coupe. Real clean. Original. Ill post pictures soon. I never realky liked the oem spoiler. I like the cleaner more lux look without it. Been searching for another trunk. Same color and condition but without the spoiler. If you dig the spoiler. Better for you. I'm just lookin for the clean slate look. Any advice/tips on what to do or possibly find another trunk in acceptable condition would be coo. Thank ya.

Try the junkyard. May not be in the color you want, but can always be painted.
Craigslist you can find a few being parted out.
And a last resort is to remove your spoiler and weld the holes shut or put small push pins in the holes with a bit of silicone to keep the water out.

What part of the country are you in? Other membersin that area may run across one; then they can let you know where to find it. There are also used part web sites where you can submit a request for a specific part and you will get responses from yards that (may) have it.

Thanks alot for the tips. I'm in san diego ca. I recently called a used auto parts with a 92-93 trunk lid. The person over the phone said it wouldn't be compatible with a coupe. Is the coupe trunk a little bit shorter than the sedan trunk? Thank you

No, just the inner tail lights are different. They're compatible if you don't mind sedan tail lights and are willing to swap the lock cylinder out. You can search for the DIY guide on here that shows you how to do it.

Alright man cool thank you. Would you say $200 for the trunk lid be reasonable? And what would you estimate the cost a honda dealership would charge to paint new trunk original color with clear coat? Thank you

$200 is much more than I would ever consider paying for a trunk lid. You can find them at junkyards for $50, if that. And I wouldn't have a dealer respray anything either. Take it to any body shop that has a reputation for quality work and you'll be taken care of. You'll probably pay them somewhere in the neighborhood of $250-400 for the service, though.
