ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

I went to AutoZone and found a thicker double sided tape and I took the old skinny one off. Mine came off after a week and it got stolen. I got another one and did the same thick tape and its been strong since. Also doing it in the outside heat does help.10th Anniversary Accord.

3M sells an adhesion promoter for double sided tape...imo if you dont use that, your tape will never adhere properly. actually where i work its mandatory to use the adhesion promoter!
lacker thinner does not ''degrease'' a surface btw...it just spreads it around. alchool is better but to really degrease a surface u need a degreaser or water and soap (try to clean a dry coffee mark on a table with thinner then try with water and soap, its something our teacher showed us at the bodyshop school couple years back...you will understand the science behind that statement)
also you can use steel wool grade 0 to remove anything that may have been left on the window..no it will not scratch it but make sure u blow off any steel dusts that will fall in the cracks of the window molding cause these will rust fast.

DONT USE STEEL WOOL omg that will EFF up the surface! you want the surface flat and CLEAN!
3m double sided tape is amazing. a double strip holds the skirts on my lude going on 5 years now (no fancy dancy adhesion or extra crap needed). Clean both smooth surfaces with the highest % alcohol you can find, allow to AIR DRY, and apply 3m tape in a DRY, low-humidity environment. Anyone who has used 3m tape and it has failed for them, didnt prep the surface correctly or used it in incorrect environment.

like i mentionned to, you need to blow the steel dust with compressed air before u proceed any other action...do not wash the car with those dusts still on the car they will leak in cracks and rust in no time.
