ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

55w would be fine. As long as it's in the retrofit projectors, you would'nt be blinding people.

Of course you haven't. You haven't driven at yourself.

Allentang14, if these are going into OEM fog lights then going much brighter won't do you much good. It's such a poorly-designed housing from the factory and it does not perform well at all.

All it would be good for is to be seen really...

Then it serves the purpose most people want them for. People drive around with them on when it's not even foggy outside. I don't get it. I've used mine maybe 5 times. IF that.

i use mine all the time for 2 reasons:

1: they look cool. im the only one in tulsa that has OEM fogs and i just love the look it gives:

              2. other people can see me. when im driving on dark country roads at night i will turn them on so other people have a better chance of seeing me before i see them. it works quite good

If only there was a projector retrofit...then it might make more sense in the long run...but until then...

I have my foglights with the bulb shield removed (makes a big difference on output), 3000k HIDs (not sure if 35w or 55w) since they don't have stamp, and Acura legend yellow cap (glass).... And they turn out just how I wanted them, super yellow color and better brightness........ Haven't had any problems with oncoming drivers, because I adjusted them all the way down. It's just for looks but I love it..... Check out my sig pic for reference

Wow that is crazy good output. I was going to do the TRS 55W kit this summer because I get absolutely nothing for output.

Well the pic is a little bit fixed, in person is a little less bright but still really good out put..... If it's ok with the OP I could post a short video clip of them

i would not use 55w hid's they could very easily melt the housing and they are WAY to bright to be used with out a retrofit. 35w is pushing the temp limits of the fogs IMO and they might be to bright aswell. some people can get away with it, some cannot.

Well like I said I don't know if mine are 35w or 55w .... And they're not too bright because they point down, way lower than the headlights and the housing will not melt because the glass made yellow caps cover the HID bulbs and it's heat.... But that's just me, if it has happened to someone then maybe they didn't have caps or retrofit to caused the melt
