ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Can't beleive every time I come here this question appears. The answer to your question is in search.
Just to add my comments, my 2¢...yes the window needs to be repositioned on the regulator. How to remove the panel is on every google and car site so check there. Once you have the panel off and have studied all the posts ..in short, the gold bolts are the ones you need to be concerned with...loosen them and get the window where it is going up and down correctly and then tighten them. Worse case is the regulator is bent after many years. Cheap cheap part and also many DIY'S everywhere. Good luck

Man I replaced my regulator, and the problem comes back after a month. Pisses me off. I played with every setting and im just going to have a shop do it...lol.
What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

Honda techs are the best.......except when the windows were designed. Too much Saki in that room! The regulators are cumbersome and bend. They are hard to work on and you have to cut a perfectly nice dust cover to get to it the first time. Tabs or wire guides break all the time and the ONLY solution is to replace the entire regulator cause they can't be fixed unless you are a master welder. The motor is attached and I personally haven't figured how to separate it from the regulator so I have to buy them together. When working on it, the heavy window needs to be supported or taken out..what a bitch! It's a good friend who will hold it while you battle the regulator. I've seen some video's where they undo the bolts and fold the regulator all in a matter of minutes.....never happens in real life, always that one bolt that won't come out. Good luck

Its pretty annoying when you want to keep the AC on and you have to put the window down for some reason like tolls . I got used to it.

I had a problem similar to yours, drivers side too, on my 91 EX. When I was told it could "possibly be your regulator" (auto glass guy suggested it ), I got a second opinion and my friend (ASE mech) suggested I pull off my run channel out completely (and CAREFULLY), clean it out with non-abrasive brush & 50/50 of water and palmolive (notorious for being dirty 99.9% of the time when we roll down our windows), re-lubricate with silicone spray (outside) & powder graphite (inside track) or silicone PASTE, then re-install. Since silicone paste was hard to find, I opted for deev's suggestion of powder graphite from the local parts store. The result: smooth operation once again. The cost: $0.

Moral of the story: opinions are a dime a dozen, but expert advice & great friends (like our fellow cb7 tuners) are pure gold.
