What tail lights are these?

So i was looking on the web for a CB7 and found this 90 LX, it has some seriously bizzare tail lights on it, ive never seen them before.

Can anyone ID these for me? i kinda like em. im refering to the trunk panels that normally would be a tail light but are some sort of cover? is it paint?? i just dont know! if its paint then it'd have awful presentation in person but it's been confusing me for days lol

Its most likely some kind of spray or tint. Tail lights are from the 90-91. The reverse lights are normal color

so the 90-91 are orange top red bottom in a 50/50 pattern?

Yup. Pretty much. The guy just painted the inner tail lights to give it a "shaved" trunk look.

I don't believe that was the purpose of those lights. Like buzz11 said, I think he (or whoever's car it is) was trying to make his shit look shaved without actually going through all the necessary shit to shave it. I've seen a car or two in my day done like that.

Of course that in no way excuses the ridiculousness of it.
