ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Some people also cut their foam in half but i wouldnt advise doing it.
This is why you buy suspension peices that are designed for your car.
I know some strut/spring combos require you to cut the bump stop.

Cutting the bumpstops in half is recommended by the spring manufacturers. You should NEVER lower on stock shocks. Ever.

I meant cutting them when your car is riding on them. Deev so the op doesn't want to upgrade shocks and just wants to lower more then the extended tophats and shock fork "trick" would be the onky ways right?

WTF is the "shock fork trick?" Sounds like something from Kill Bill.

Well, for one, his shocks won't handle anything lower, so an extended top hat might be necessary (though simply switching to shocks that would handle it would be better.) Investing in some Ground Control coilover sleeves would allow him to go quite low... lower than he could conceivably use on public roads.

Modifying the shock's travel range won't do anything for the height of the car. The spring will still mount in the exact same location, and it is the spring that determines the height of the car. Cutting the shock fork (as I assume is the "shock fork trick") could cause MANY issues, and shouldn't even be considered. There's not a lot you could cut before clearance became an issue anyway.

And stupid camber like that wouldn't fuck with anyone's minds... it'd just cause them to point and laugh, or shake their heads at seeing someone ruin an otherwise nice car!

Deev you need a sig that says I hate stance.
Im not into Omi Camber, I dont get why its the rage in Japan.
But if I seen it, I would say WTF.

I don't mind cars that look like they can be driven... but when "stance" means poking your wheels out sideways like you have broken lower ball joints, and riding around on the inner edge of your tires... yeah, that just looks stupid. On a show car, fine. On a daily driver, it's the automotive equivalent of wearing your pants around your knees (that's a better analogy than skinny jeans... though both are laughable!)

Our roads are worse about long deep cracks across the road.
