Just wondering, is the 9091 Trunk lid and hood the same as the 9293 Lid and hood?

The trunk is different, not shape wise, but the holes for the tail lights are different. If you swap the trunk, you have to swap the tails as well, all 4 of them. I can't remember if the hoods are different or not.

You don't HAVE to swap all 4 tails... I see plenty funky looking mismatches out there... If you don't want it to look stupid, you'll want to swap all 4, though!

Hoods are not different. All 4 years have the exact same hood design. The only differences in the front are the headlights, bumper cover, and grille.

Swapping the key holes and pins to make your key work is also not that difficult, just requires a bit of patience, but definitely worth it to have a working trunk with your key. There is also a DIY on the forum

The sedan lock assemblies are different from the 9293 coupe. There is a DIY how to modify your lock ass'y to work with it.

Ok i got that figured out, I got another problem now. I ordered a set of foglights with the harness and button for a 9091 bumper, I have a 93. I kinda like the shape of the 9091 bumper any way so i think i might swap mine for the older one. Are their any fitment issues from the 9091 bumper and the 9293 assembly?

Yes. There will be a gap under the headlights and grille. You can solve this buy purchasing 90/91 headlights, side markers, and grille, unless you don't mind an ill fitting bumper.

the plastic tumbler surrounds are completely interchangable though, simple swap.

The hoods are actually slightly different. They're not different in the metal, but the plastic gasketing is different under the front of the hood. I forget which way is which, but either the 90-91 has two gaskets and the 92-93 has one.

Regardless, it makes 0 difference in how the hood bolts up.

exactly i just swapped my 93 hood for a 91 and it had 2 gaskets.

Ok so I got my 91 bumper but no bumper reinforcement, will the 93 bumper reinforcement got on the 81 bumper?

yea it works. I did a bumper swap on a 90 cb it bolted up fine. the trunk on the other hand are different the key lock location are different along with key lock itself. and i hope you mean 91 not 81
