ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Old news. Vash and I both did this mod a while back.

I used a mirror from a mid 90s Cadillac STS.

It's a really nice mod though. Personally, I really like having the compass, and the ones that display the temperature are even nicer. It's a great little mod to modernize your interior.

Adjustable in what way? For your view adjustment? Yes, it's fully adjustable. You modify the GM mirror to fit your CB mounting bracket and it functions as normal.

I had the compass on my old GTP, and loved it. My 06 CTS-V doesn't have it (because it has that awful nav unit instead... barf...) and I really miss it!

The next thing someone needs to try is the mirror from the current CTS... I just rented a CTS4, and the thing has a backup camera IN the mirror! I'm sure it wouldn't be cheap, and probably not easy... but holy hell would that be cool.
Also, the newer mirrors with the OnStar control... they can be converted to be in-car bluetooth devices, so you can talk on your phone hands-free. I plan on doing that in my Cadillac.

This is the mirror with the backup camera. SO badass!

^^^^ I think someone has a an aftermarket version of this out. I think i may have seen it at Advanced Auto Parts. The quality of it may be questionable though.

I did the mod with a 99 suburban mirror with the temp I think it adds some class and style it wasn't to hard to wire up just the temp sensor was hard I have a DIY on it in that section if you want to see how I did it but it looks good anyways

                        Good job man !!!
