ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    This thread. LOL!

And I have been wanting wood grain for sometime now! I will ask my parents to see if they saw it as a dealer option when they bought the car, I'll also look in my accessory books. Can't wait to see it installed! EXCELLENT find!

I'm gonna be fakin' the funk- and wrapping my ish in wood grain vinyl.

I have NEVER even seen OEM wood grain before this thread! So, I will now secretly smolder with envy.

Yeah this would rank right up there in the "one of a kind" rarity. Definitely not a dealer/factory option. Really can't wait to see what it looks like installed.

Thanks for awesome comments! You will have to wait to see it installed because I will install it after I get my car painted and get all parts together because I want to do minimum damage to the parts, and I'm sorry to say that because of the "pretty" cold winter and rough roads we have here in Finland, the project will be hopefully "ready" around May (can't drive it sooner anyways...) but I will keep you posted, thanks

It is not oem set. In Poland its not rare. Our polish ebay is full of this stuff. It is cheap and fake plastic "wood". With bad fitting. They make it for many models not only honda. Was popular 10 years ago but now is outmoded. Saw it by few members here from Thailand or Vietnam. Don't remember exactly. Sorry for my English.

The fact that it comes with Honda paperwork makes me wonder if it's a genuine option... if only a dealer option (not "factory", but still authentic)
If it's real wood, it's better than anything I've ever seen in the US, for sure! Most "wood" trim found here, even in nicer cars, is actually plastic.

It appears to be a French company.

Under the words "A Car of Excellence", it says: dashboards woods in French.

Sorry to say but you are wrong, it is real wood and I found out that this set was priced 9990 marks (about 1600€) back in the 90s by a local Honda dealer, so I don't consider it as cheap fake plastic "wood"

Ps. I'm not trying to be popular

Again, I wouldn't call it OEM but rather a dealer option probably only available within that area.

areimi, if you could take a picture of some of the other paper work that would help a lot.
Because depending on how the installation diagram is drawn, that would show if it was done by Honda or someone else.

As someone who works with wood a lot, I'm almost 100% certain that trim is real wood, not plastic or a cheap veneer.
Just from the pics, it's clearly burled walnut. Real wood tends to keep it's clarify and color much better than the cheap 'feux' versions, even after 20+ years.

You can tell by the underside, as shown in the 2nd pic. Definitely real wood. No manufacturer of cheap plastic "wood" parts would go through the hassle of making the back look like wood as well!

I'm quite certain that these aren't factory parts, but very likely a dealer option... which still makes them "official" Honda parts. Much like the maroon or blue leather interiors people occasionally find in the US (CBs in the US only came with black or beige leather... but a dealer would install leather in a new car if the customer wanted it... and paid for it. )
