ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

my opinion is that is that is not my cup of tea

all this comparing apples to oranges you say im doing...isnt that what you are doing, right now???...i believe that this thread was started basically asking if these rims op wants, that require not even half as much negative camber or stretch as this van (that YOU keep bringing up), will look stupid or can they fit and look good...so being that why do you continue to bring this car up and continue to compare this apple to the OP's orange???

also the "second car" has "mild camber and stretch" which is "ok", but the OP doesnt even need the stretch or camber of the "second car" and he is being flaimed for wanting to run what is less than what you are calling "mild camber and stretch"

the op's car can attain the fitment he is looking for on natural camber and can maybe even add a tad less neg camber (using a washer or 2 on the rear) to his natural camber and still fit his wheels...yet he is being told that it is not right

also just wanted to point this out since you said it yourself

"I believe"...it is what you believe is right, but that can mean nothing to other people and they dont have to believe the same thing

other people can have other opinions...some other folk can look at your car and think its way too low or way too high...but you believe it perfect...what is perfect for you is not perfect for someone else...same goes for your "Photoshoot mode"...me and you have different beliefs of what it means...you have direct terms and i dont believe there is even such thing as "photoshoot mode" since there are trucks that arnt putting the frame on the ground and camber as far negative as can, yet they are in what they believe is "photoshoot mode" and no this isnt a apple and orange situation

to make it on a more level playing feild in Indonesia a slammed accord in "photoshoot mode" to them is stock height..to label what photoshoot mode and what is not is wrong and is just you forcing your ideas onto people just as if you were to force your religion on me or anyone else and call their religion wrong because it is not what you believe

Yes you are right that the OP could fit those tires and camber them in, it has been done and is all over the forum. Some of us expressed an opinion that it would not be optimal, and the fact is that it really wouldn't be unless you put in more work and money to tuck them correctly and safely. He would wear on the inner edge faster, toe at 0* or not, this is not new.

So to answer the OP's question the tire guy is right. He cannot put them on without mods, therefor they don't fit. Also it would be illegal to have the tires stick out from the fender well if he didn't camber them in and that is a liability issue. I believe the OP was looking to only get rims, not drop his ride or add fender flares.

This is the OPs car: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthre...99#post3071799

From there the discussion progressed to offset and how he could get correct offset and they would fit without mods just like stock. Nothing wrong with that.

From there the conversation has been twisted into an arguement over camber.

Back to our conversation though I call that Odyssey extreme, I do not call the photos you posted extreme. The arguement about those taking their cars and going extreme with it to the point of barely being able to drive is what we were really discussing now.

My opinion on the Odyssey is that it is unsafe, my opinion of the cars you have posted is that they are drivable but will cost more in tires and bearings than a comparable car with 0* camber only becuase of wear and tear. I'm not calling those cars unsafe, but I am calling them not-optimal for longevity.

So we are back to arguing semantics because my extreme is not the same as your extreme or (photoshoot mode).
