ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Not sure why the hell you would want to do that but yeah its possible. Depending on the width of the steelie, you would probably want to use a 165 or 155 tire.

why do you want to stretch a stock ass steelie. That shit can get dangerous fast with a small ass tire.

If you're looking for an answer for how to achieve the hellaflush look safely then I'm afraid you're out of luck. Besides the fact that most feel that it looks ridiculous its main criticism is that it's so unsafe. You're trying to combine the narrowest possible tire stretched to its limits, cambered within an inch of its life with a suspension setup that slams it on the ground and usually is so low that the shocks have zero action or rebound. It seems like you want to achieve the same look that will be on prominent display there. Either go into it knowing the risks or find a different look to go for. I hear properly sized wheels and tires with decent suspension set ups are all the rage for 2013.

Your question is way to vague. We don't know what you like or dislike. This forum, as trendy as it is at times, is filled with members with completely different tastes. I could suggest a setup and then Joe Blow will chime in with his opinion and so on and so forth...

What exactly are you trying to achieve? What look are you trying to accomplish?

I tried being HellaFlush. Just put coil-overs on it last week, dropped it down, took a few pictures, drove it for a few days and said F that.

My question is why your are trying to mod your car around a stretched tire. Is your car even lowered? It will look awfully goofy with tiny stretched tires on stock height. Do you have pics of your car?

Get Diamond Racing steelies and put the stretched tires on those.

There's not point in doing stretch on stock wheels as they are way too narrow for the stretch to look good. It will just look like a barrow wheel.

I LOVE how its condemned around here to think outside the box. Its so unsafe to stretch tires, bit ive driven on and slid on 9.5" wide wheels with 215/40's stretched onto them. Not a single hiccup.

Im not saying its for everyone to drive around like me. I roll with 1/2" frame rail clearance, rocking no exhaust and modifying the downpipe on my s13 because my buddy club didn't fit between the chassis and the ground.

What im trying to say is, done properly it can be just as safe as any car done any way. Some people aren't proficient enough at driving cars setup as such though.

I'm with you here. I'm in a local car "club" that has hundreds of people running a setup similar to what you described there and nobody has had any accidents.

Didn't you hear? The American Le Mans Series are going to be stretching tyres next year.

Stock steelies are what, 6" wide? So a stretched tire would have how much contact patch, 4.5"? 5"?
Yeah, I'd trust THAT to keep my car safely planted on the road
