Painting Brake Calipers

lol, I used a BBQ paint called Armor Coat.
Heat Resistant and Self Priming, good for 650 C or (1200 F)
I used it on my heat shield first. Seemed to hold up well.
Then I shaved my Caliper Brackets to fit ITRs, so I hit
the cailpers with it to, and it still holding up after 5-6 weeks.
All I did was use garbage bags and masking tape to block anything I didn`t want painted.

Wow bro well done. Never thought of doing this. I just used that spray the other day but never thought about using i on my calipers.. Looks good.

I painted mine silver/gray. They pop off if you have a nice set of oem wheels

painted my front last weekend. just cleaned the holy crap out of them with a combination of brake cleaner, simplegreen, and aircraft remover. just used duplicolor ceramic red, 6 coats total. from off to on the car, about 6 hours. left them in the sun to speed curing a little bit.

dont forget to get the pad bracket too, saw someone at honda-tech seattle that did that

I hand brush mine when the whole cv boot, knuckle, and rotor was disassemble.

I used a wire brush to knock off any dirt.

Nice, The best caliper paint i've used is the G2 system.



As long as you clean your surface well and take your time it turns out great.
Also it keeps it's shine for a long time.

I have to say it's expensive but it's the best product i've used for calipers.

IMO, black is the best color too use . The red looks too played out . Great job Dan.

I have my calipers red and i don't feel like it's overdone or rice. My car is white and it adds just a little pop of color without being too crazy.

I guess overall it is the beauty in the eye of the beholder.
