ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

I've read of too many people having their loops break, resulting in the hood flipping back and smashing the windshield (and sometimes even denting the metal frame!). I'm getting pins when I go cf, just to be safe. To me it's worth the investment, and the aero-style pins don't look bad.Last edited by CyborgGT; 07-19-2012, 05:06 AM.

I'm using hood pins only, no latch. I barely got it latched on just to get home from picking it up in LA. Seemed secure even at high speeds, if you CAN use the latch and pins then do it. IMO pins give it more of an aggressive look, while no pins make it looks clean and sleek. They're not necessary but it's good for extra safety.1993 10th Anniversary MRT

Ghost, just ditch the stock latch. Half the point of pins is ease of access, so when you're at the track or a show it's a simple *yoink* of the pins and, presto-chango, quick access to your engine. Call me lazy, but I find it so tedious to have to go into the car, pull the latch, then walk back around to the front where you were talking to your buddies to undo the latch.
On a slightly random note, I was Googling into locking pins and came across some doof on a Mustang forum (go figure... I love 'Stangs to death but the owners are such airheads) who spent a whopping 25 dollars on hood pins, they snapped in a street race and his hood flew across traffic or something like that, so he went on the forums warning everyone to not buy locking pins. This is not the kind of thing you want to cheap out on, guys!
