ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Question for any wagon owners...

I am thinking of purchasing a 1991 wagon EX and I was wondering if it had 4 wheel disc brakes and passive restraint seatbelts? I know the 91 DX, LX and EX didn't have discs in the back but I wasn't sure about the 91 EX wagon. I also know that 1991 CB's had passive restraint seatbelts but again I wasn't sure about the wag. The only reason I am questioning all of this is because I know the 91 wagon has an airbag yet the DX, LX and EX do not so I am wondering what else they may or may not have. Thanks.

CB9's never had the automatic seat belts

dunno about the disc brakes in the 91 ex though... someone else will have to answer that one! (if it has ABS I believe is has rear disc, but not 100% sure...)

Thats what I was thinking as well. But I am not sure if it has ABS. And even if I knew it had ABS I am still not positive that having ABS means 4 wheel disc... I don't know if CB's with drums had an ABS option. I know 92/93 DX and LX have drums and no ABS so maybe...

Good to know it does have them bullshit ass seatbelts though.

after browsing through here: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthre...&highlight=cb9 it appears only 92-93 had rear disc brakes...

I own a 91 Ex wagon. No rear disk breaks. The front breaks are a bit bigger tho.. so you cant fit 14 inch wheels on it. . No ABS either.

ABS only came on models with discs (and no models with discs came without ABS.)

The 91 CB9 had manual seatbelts? Did it also have an airbag?

Yes the 91 wagon has a driver's side airbag... Atleast the one that I am thinking about buying does.

And thanks for clarifying the rear disc question, guys. I suppose if I decide to purchase this wagon I can swap rear discs. I could care less about ABS though.

Many ABS systems these days aren't fully functional anyway. The 40/40 prop valve will ensure proper functionality... though my car doesn't currently have one, and my friend's doesn't either.

Out of curiosity, what makes you say that? As far as I know my system is working fine.

Yours may be, but I've heard many complaints of issues over the years. Not due to a poor design, but due more to neglect over the past 20 years.

Yes, all CB9s sold in the US had manual seatbelts, which means that they also all have a driver's side airbag.
