ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

yeah i have had an "ebay" suspension before. Two months later it failed and i had to spend double just to get my suspension right.

I personally love coilovers, Mostly because my car is slammed and i want a decent ride too.

Most full coilover systems for our cars are cheaply made crap. Coilovers in the hands of someone that does not know how to properly set them, or have the tools to do so, are wasted.
I leave the settings to the engineers. Springs, matched with a quality shock. Even an adjustable shock like the Koni Sport is a bit much (though I make use of them, even with my limited knowledge, to reduce squat when drag racing.)

I have had alot of coilover set up for different cars. On my CB i have the F&F type 2's. They ride nice and seem to be well made. And as far as people not knowing how to properly adjust them, Its not rocket science haha. Most coilovers you buy come with instructions anyways.

the coilovers is just adjustable compared to the lowering springs right? but the ride is the same? or coilovers are better?

Springs/shocks are better, coil overs are adjustable.

spring set up to me is way more bouncy compared to a coilover set up that has the shock rate adjustment. I have my car slammed to the ground and it rides almost as smooth as the stock suspension/ ride height

that is because the springs are not matched to the shocks and tbey are not matched to the weight of the car, not an inherent property of lowering springs.

I'm not talking about knowing how to twist the little sleeve perches... there's far more to it than that.

That should be a good setup, and from whats on hrsprings.com website, its not cheap either. Personally I have no experience with them, but I have heard nothing but great things about h&r. Another comparable option would be the Koni/Neuspeed Sport/Race Cup Kit(s), and can be had for about $300+ cheaper.

Yes, but do you know how to properly adjust those things? I don't mean what bits to twist... but how to set it up correctly.
I'll tell you this... I don't. I don't have the tools or the knowledge to properly set an adjustable suspension. Until I get my car on the track, I don't have a need to, either.
