Hey so i bought the four lug itr wheels a while a go. and today i tried to fit them on my car but the spokes wouldnt clear the brake calipers....has anyone had this problem before? would spacers help with this issue?

I had a 1/4"(6.35mm) spacer on mine and they were fine around town. I hopped on the highway for a long trip to CHI and didnt even get back home before the threads sheered out of the lugs.
I CANNOT stress this enough; If you're going to use a spacer larger than 5mm, please PLEASE get extended studs and open-ended lugs.
Even with a 5mm spacer, I'd use extended studs.
Or, you could even shave the caliper bracket. It's not the caliper itself, it's just the bracket. Shaving a few millimeters off of it wont hurt anything. It's not a VITAL component and requires less work than adding extended studs.

So, in other words, I don't think there is such a thing as 94 ITR wheels... 92-95 civic HX had wheels that looked similar but were 4X100 and therefore won't fit our accords.

I shaved the caliper on mine after the One Ton Garage 5mm spacers I used started causing me vibrations. If you shave the caliper, you'll also retain the hub centric locating of the wheel on the hub, centering it over the lugs for a much better balance and ride.

yea i actually meant 96....typo lol
and so if i went about shaving the caliper bracket instead of the spacer route, do i just grab a file and go to work or what. I havent shaved caliper brackets before haha. also what would a good brand for spacers be? i'd probably get 5mm ones.Last edited by 206CB7; 05-11-2012, 03:46 PM.

Ichiban is one of the better names but they're pricey.
As for shaving the bracket, just grab a grinder wheel and take a little bit off at a time. Take a little off, put the wheel on, spin it. Repeat until the wheel spins free and clear.
It's up to you if you want to put any kind of paint/primer/product on the bracket as it will now be exposed metal and it will rust over.
