ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

CB auto shift gear LED light bulb.

My 90 LX Sedan shift gear bulb went out when I bought the car. I replaced it with the 74 bulb which was a little bigger than the OEM bulb. I drilled to make the hole larger.
Now, 4 years later, knowing more about the car, I want to make the shift gear illumination brighter than the dull green color of the OEM. Which type of LED would fit and increase the lighting better? I tried a small little LED bulbs and nothing light it up better b/c of the lighting direction is not 360 degree. Any one has done it to their cars? Most the CB I see here are mostly manual, so I hope those with auto could shine some light on it.

    Thanks.

I have yet to see one done. I've seen climate control and such converted to led illumination. Maybe you could refer to one of them diys to get an idea of what you could do. That's really the best I can do for yah. Hopefully someone else can help you out. Best of luck. And if you do figure it out. I'd love to see a DIY

there are ways to make the LED spread its light evenly. or buy a diffused LED that already does.
If its not bright enough, try a better brand or more LEDs.

its been before done by CG, G2 TL, and BB6 guys. if honda used the glass bulbs just buy replacement t5 wedges. if they used real led's then just buy led's of any color you want and solder your own in.

What's up with the spams dude? I don't have a problem to solve. I just want to put LED in my shift knob. I can't stand spammers. It's none of their business.
