hi guys, i hope i'm posting this in the right section. i just bought a 1990 accord coupe and i'm thinking of getting DRL led lights at ebay ... it says to put the negative on the battery and the positive to the ignition fuse box so the lights will turn on when the key is on ignition mode. I looked on my fuse box, under the dashboard driver side and also inside the hood, front of passenger side but i didn't see any thing about ignition or accessory. can any body tell me where it is or where i should hook up the wires so it'll turn on when i put the key to ignition mode. Thanks

ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

First thing you want is a diagnosis light thingy and a friend. Turn the key to the on position and check on of the fuses. The light should turn on. Tell your friend to move the key to the ACC position, if the light turns off, do not use that fuse. Keep on checking until you find one. Then hook up the wire to that fuse on the back of the fuse box. Finally but not least. Hope that your fuse doesn't blow!

OP, you need to get a circuit tester/test light on probe the fuse panel for a fuse that is only on in the ON keyed position. Once you find that, you need to plug a wire into the FUSED side and run it to a relay to power your DRL's so you dont pop that fuse. If needed, I can draw up a diagram for you.

On my fit, my daytime running lights do not come on until I lower the parking brake, then they stay on until the car is completely shut off.
Maybe the op wires the drl leds to come on when the parking brake is not in use. That would probably be the best way. Do it right and the drl's shouldn't come on until you have the key on acc/on, and the e-brake is down. A relay will most likely be required to do it this way.

^^ Depends upon which type of relay you use. I'm pretty sure there is a relay out there that turns on something when power is deactivated from its signal wire. If you managed to find this relay, you should be able to keep the regular functional circuit of the brake switch intact, just splice a couple wires into it.

OP, fiind one of those and I can write up a "wiring diagram" for ya so itll be simple. Just so you know, LED's suck as headlights. So youll either have to lose your high beam or turn signals or something somewhere.

The video game Minecraft comes to mind, I've had to make plenty of "inverters", that flip the on/off state. Learning how to make redstone circuits work in the game is a fun way to learn how to make simple and even complex circuits, and it is great for understanding "logic" associated with them.

Like I said in your OTTHERRR thread, instead of messing with all of that and screwing something up.
Just use one of those open ports in the fuse box down in the driver side footwell.
#3 comes on with the headlights. That doesn't mean your headlights have to actually be on, as it will still come on with your headlight switch in the first position (corner lights only)

what about the fuse that says "day lights" under the dash? does this "fuse" get power when the car is started? i went out last night with a tester and i couldn't get any of my fuses to light up. I tried with the acc on and with the car started but i couldn't see i know it was something i was doing wrong, but i was trying to see if the "day lights" fuse get power when the car starts.
