ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.
2 of 2 < >

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Slanted exhaust

Anyone here on the forum got that slanted exhaust look like the evos and sti's have?

    #2
There was a thread about this a while back. There is absolutely no point to it whatsoever. You are intentionally putting a bend in your exhaust system that will restrict flow, create a ground clearance hazard and be impressive to no one. But the universal mantra of car enthusiasts is to do what YOU like. So if you like it, go ahead.

I live right next to Reliant stadium which is the venue for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. It's the world's largest rodeo event and set attendance records last year with 2,262,834 people in a 3-week period. There are so many people there that cell phones are useless at my house three blocks away from the venue because of the number of people pegging the towers. I say all that to say:

Half of those people have huge trucks that are decorated with an entire truck-stop aisle's worth of trailer lights and have giant 6" stacks that come out of the bed. And they proudly display their smoke screens at every stop light. I'm living in hell for a couple more weeks.

Yeah I don't see the point in the angled exhaust on a CB. Makes you look like a poser, IMO. But like already said, do you. There are some members that do have that look though, can't remember off hand but I've definitely seen a few.

Yeah I didn't know you were in Houston, I moved from there about a year ago, I lived off of Wilcrest and Briar Forest. H-Town, baby!

It looks okay on the cars mentioned. Seen it on a couple CBs and just looks like the exhaust is broken and temporarily rigged up.

              Bosozuku style, bitches.

This is complete grotesque. I've also heard that this rust bucket style is actually a style... Interesting.

Remove the crazy exhaust pipes, and that's pretty much everything that's popular in the US today. Low offset wheels on a FWD car, slammed with stretched tires and obscene camber. Parts rusted on purpose. Roof rack. Shit dangling from the rear bumper...

The crazy pipes are part of what is called the bosozoku style in Japan.
A more accurate example of the style executed as it should be:

It's extreme, and really more of a rolling work of modern art than a functional vehicle.

They're show cars, within a certain style. They're not rollin' up to Piggly Wiggly in those things.
They're also in Japan, so if you want to be proper in the Japanese import scene, you should be swangin' from their nuts! That's how it works, right? It's in Japan, so it's the bee's knees?
