ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.
2 of 2 < >

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Thanks for the compliments. I felt going the route I did with my bay was going to be very controvesial. Turns out the majority loves it so far. Hell, even my mother who hates modded cars thinks it looks "pretty." LOL

Before you do any more painting, clean the hell out of your engine bay. Right now everything is one color: road-grime-grey. When you get the paint back to white and the wires and hoses back to shiny black, the blue will look much better (maybe not on the heat shield tho). Right now it looks like you threw a smurf at a black and white picture. You might think about painting tour intake piping blue also. Remember, a few key color-coordinated pieces looks way better than a bunch of random blue shit.

Yeah unfortunately baby blue is never a good look on anything other than babies.

Looks like you did a really good job painting though. I'd probably put that good effort into a better colour.

Foaming Engine Shampoo or Simple Green.

At work, I use a degreaser like Simple Green and a pressure washer. Then I do the rest by hand with a vinyl/plastic cleaner similar to Armor All.

Did my bay the same way, so you can see it works.

Cover the battery terminals, alternator and distributor. Don't spray directly on those. Go to town on the rest.

Only car I've ever messed up washing the engine on was a Jetta, but that car was a piece of shit and another story all together.

when cleaning, try not to get liquid sitting around the spark plug caps.. apparently, water likes to seep through the upper portion of the spark plug holes. I'd wet a rag with solution and wipe rather than soak the vc first with water or whatever sitting by the plugs.
