ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    window frame pulling apart

well as it says my driver side window frame is pulling apart and im looking to see if anybody has had this problem , any ideas on how to fix . it looks like its causing the window to pop out on the top when rolled up. i found a similar post that dealt with the window popping out , but i am worried about the frame itself

That is usually due to theft.
Both my front windows are like that.

Yeah most of the issues with windows popping out are on coupes because a button that's in the upper corner or the glass breaks and no longer keeps it in the channel. I've replaced two. You have a sedan and it looks like someone has pried into the plastic pieces surrounding your glass. I'd go to a junkyard and take a door apart so you know how the pieces fit. Then take yours apart and see what pieces are actually broken. Then go back and get what you need.

i like this idea .my local junk yard has only got one sedan though , thought about swapping doors all together though. problem is the window is a crank and mine is electric. does anybody know if the internals will swap out, : regulators, wiring ,locks ...etc?

I'm almost certain everything is swappable if you swap from manual to electric.

Just put in your regulator and switches and run your harness to the door and you should be all set. I've swapped a few doors and regulators before, but have not done a manual to electric.

That method seems like a lot of work. Plus, body parts are where junkyards try to make their money typically. Taking them apart actually teaches you how they're assembled.

It would actually be no worse than replacing a window regulator. Everything is there. There's no fab work.

My car does the same dang thing, more on the passenger side though

If I'm driving with my coupe window rolled down a little bit, it rattles really bad.

Mikey, are you missing that button in the corner? Or is there any play in it? If all that's good you may want to take a 10mm and tighten the gold bolts that hold the window glass onto the regulator mechanism. Sometimes those get loose and cause the glass to rattle. When it's all the way up it's being held still by the upper channel.

No, the little black button is in there. The top of the window where the button is seems to rattle back and forth in the track when it's like half open. Wouldn't surprise me if the glass is loosened up on the regulator.

My window rolls up and down with no issues though.
