going lower

my setup is brand new bliesten shocks(autozone) and H&r lowering springs and the ride is great but i want to go like .5in lower lol but i hate coilovers i had them in my last cb and i didnt like them at all. it sits at 2.2 in the front and 2 in the back. i know cutting my springs is bad so i dont want to do that, what is a way to get it half a inch lower. thanks

Get new springs, and a real set a shocks. Not oem replacements. That's the only safe way to drop it.

They feel fine now, but they are OEM replacements. If you want to get lower buy some coilovers. What coilovers did you have before that you hated?

There's not many springs that will lower your more than that. D2 springs are 2.5F/2.25R, and Sprint Extremes are 3.25"F/3"R, but the Extremes have been discontinued.

^ sounds like your mistake, ive never really heard good thing about skunk II suspensions... if you want to go lower and maintain a nice ride. get a set of softer spring coilovers. megan makes the ez-street series for our car (its what im riding on) , and my car rides like a dream, and its on the ground. and ithink the form and function type 1s use the same spring rates as what the ez-streets have.

oh and theyre relatively inexpensive compared to most other full body coilovers.

Get some D2 springs and a set of Koni yellows. U can then adjust the perch and get yourself another 1/4 inch or so.

They are good, but not for a lowered car. You NEVER lower a car on OEM shocks, while sitting your struts/shocks are in compression. When you hit a bump is compresses the strut/shock to the point where it " bottoms out ". Do that enough and you'll blow the seals out of your strut/shock.

What coilover setup did you have on your old cb? Was it a cheap shit set? In my opinion, you aren't going to get a good drop, and ride out a strut/spring combo without paying good money. And then you're close to Megan/BC/etc $1000-1200 coilover price range.
