ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    legend lip repair

So about two Weeks ago I was driving my car home, about half a mile from home a dog decides two run across the street and there was no way for me to avoid it :-\
It ended up cracking the lip and broke off one of the tabs used for installation. Is there any way to repair the damages?

Jb weld would work a lot better! Put some JB weld on the back of it so it is not noticeable from the front and let it dry over night!

i used this stiff called Qbond its like 16 bucks but its like this black powder and some crazy glue and it gets super hot and gets rock hard in seconds and its sandable. i also have a sedan lip and filled in those grooves where it fits onto the grille of the legend.

and what happened to the dog?

Good job. Did you repaint your lip or are you just applying a tire dressing?

yah repaint. i think ive repainted it like 3 times. last time was cuz my mom drove it into a curb. so i put like 3 coats of clear this time i used wheel coating. i hate it when she drives my car. this last time i almost left it primered like this. but i think this is the best way to fo it because it dries quick and sands down

i also cut off the tab on the inside corners of the dip part

That is awesome! I have a bunch of little scrapes at the bottom that need some work done as well. Where did you buy it at?

Poor dog was stiff as soon as I hit it :-( There was another dog across the street too so it must of seen it and tried to zip across the street fast, but didn't see me coming. It was pretty much at the corner if the lip where it bends, straight hit to his head. :'(

I figured that I'd open up my fogs since the passenger side looked crappy and nothing would help. Here is what I found...

I think I got it at napa but it should be at any auto part store. I'll get a pic of the box. So did someone attempt to black house fogs? Our what up with that? seems like the reflectiveness would suck

Yeah, they we're blackguard when I bought them. Looks like the lens was painted silver and the rest in regular black paint instead of the bbq or high heat paint.
Definitely will be checking the auto parts store when I get paid.

                          Damn Eddie!
You cracked that awesome lip? Ouch bro.

Im thinking of opening my foglights to install yellow caps and repaint as well.
But i still need 1 cap, haha

I have never had issues with repairing lip, but the last time i did custom work to a lip, i picked up a plastic mugen lip for a 98 civic sedan and chopped off the middle (shortened) and used fiberglass to bong the 2 piece as well as add length to the side to fit a toyota paseo.
Lots of fiberglass and bondo later, it looked fucking legit, but its very fragile and a little nick on a curb can fuck it all up again.

Good luck with your repair Eddie!

We need a permanent dog catcher on this side of town, they run wild around here! If it hadn't been for that dog I'd only be repairing little scratches here and there. Tried to get a quote on getting the reflection shield chromed too, they said it was too messed up to fix :-(

Just do what most members here do, chrome spray paint

It aint chrome, i tell you, its more of like, a silver metallic, but it will look better than before.

Just try to make the surface as smooth as possible for the best results.
