ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

I'm just curious because this is my first cb so I'm trying to figured out tire size along with that diameter and width wheel......I'm used to Ef civics lol and these have a much different suspension setup. I want to avoid fender rolling

I wasn't asking because I didn't know. You are going to have camber if you want those specs, there's no way around it. If you do try to go back to OEM specs, you will rub. You either live with the camber, which is not a big deal as everyone on cb7tuner makes it out to be, you run slimmer tires, which I would not advise, or you do fender work.

there is absolutely nothing wrong with mild to moderate camber, most of the time you wont even notice uneven tire wear unless your toe is also out of spec.

I know what the trends are. Anything -1* - +1* is considered to be within Honda specs. Any more than that, and yes the camber will wear tires faster as I mentioned before. Your tires may last only 24,000 miles instead of 36,000 miles. Over a 10 year period, this can equate to almost a $2000 saving to keep the correct camber. I personally don't mind a little, but anything over -1* will lead to premature wear. That's why Honda specified those numbers. They've done their research and engineering.

Also, there are trade offs with respect to tire grip and wear. The more the grip, the more friction that's present. The more friction, the more tire wear you get. Simple physics and dynamics.

i had -3 in the rear on my scion and had no wear problems at all with tires, also have a lot in front on the accord and everything is wearing well.

between me and the guys in my crew, we've had minor to excessive camber, among a bunch of different cars, and ive found that as long as you arent excessive and stay in the -1 to -3 / 4 range and keep your toe in spec that your uneven wear will be minimal to not noticeable.

That's an example. I have one too.

I had a '93 SE Accord with a stock suspension. My camber was off some and toe was within specs. My Michelin's only lasted two years and a few months. The insides of the tires were destroy, down to slicks basically. The out side still had some meat. When I put my new Michelin's on, the tech at Mercedes where I worked who put my new tires on for me told me to get a alignment as the camber is what destroyed the inside of my tires. Did I mentioned he was one of their top techs. I'll see if I can find pictures of it.
