I have some jdm 1 piece headlights, but they are scuffed up, and I want to know how to get the scuffs & scratches out? I know I seen a thread on here about wet sanding them then polishing, but I can't find it now. I do not want to mess my headlights up, please help. Thank you.

ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

That link shows nothing..lol
If you need to restore you headlights you'll need
A buffer
1500-2000-3000 Grit sand paper
(use all 3 if they're really bad, if they're not too bad just use the 2000)
paste waste/buffing solution and or headlight restore solution
bucket O water
some paper towels
and painters tape if you're worried about your paint while sanding.
i'm going to explain the process as if you were just using the 2000 Grit.
1. Clean dirt, etc. from headlights. Make em clean!
2. grab bucket O water and a small piece of sand paper ~3"x3"
3. Optional - tape off fender/hood/bumper around headlight
4. Grab sand paper, dip it in the water, and start sanding the headlight housing. Make sure the paper is always wet. Also, always go Either left to right/right to left OR top to bottom/bottom to top. Choose 1 of those directions and keep sanding that 1 direction.
As you sand you'll notice the water on the housing turning brown. That is a combination of the UV protection clear coat on the housing and the oxidized crap coming off.
Also, dont be a pussy and put some muscle into it. As long as you keep dipping the sand paper in the water and keep it wet, you wont damage the lens.
5. After about 10 minutes of sanding, you'll notice that your arm is tired. Also, you'll notice that the water on the housing in no longer turning a foamy brown, and while wet the headlight looks fvcking amazing. Now dry off the headlight and prepare the buffer/ buffing solutions.
6. Apply buffing solutions to the headlamp and uhh...buff it using the buffer. lol. You'll probably need to re-apply buffing solution to the headlight/ buffer and buff 2-3 times.
If you have multiple solutions, start out with the thickest/ roughest stuff first, and work your way to the finest solution.
WARNING! while buffing never just hold the buffer in one spot with out moving it cause you'll burn the lens.
7. Using a clean cloth/paper towel/ micro fiber towel, wipe off the headlight and admire the beauty.
I suggest getting some lens protectant or UV wax protectant on the headlight to prevent them from oxidizing again. Apply after every wash if you can.

WAIT!
Before you begin, and if you have access to an DA or a polisher, just try a compound on the lens. First clay bar it then with a compound, such as Meguiar's Ultimate Compound, buff it out. Try that out and if you have any questions, feel free to PM me as I won't check this thread all that often.

there are still got few lines which was badly penetrated.I just stop there coz i don't want to leave a wavy surface on it.

actually Juicebox00 has pretty much written out the steps from start to end and this is what i'm doing all the time--wax your head lamp after each wash.
